Little Disappointed with BMW Dealership

Went to BMW of San Diego today and I have to say I was really disappointed with how I was treated while I was there. I also went to the Dodge dealership to see if I could drive the new SRT4 but they only had one and the guy said they are pretty protective of it. But the sales guy met me in the parking lot. When I went to BMW I walked around the parking lot for about 10 mins and then I went inside and walked around and finally this beautiful blonde came up to help me, but much to my dismay they didnt have a Mini Cooper but she did take time to walk me over to the Certified Pre Owned to help me look for another car. Just was expecting them to meet me in parking lot. But Im glad the blonde girl helped me out instead. Anybody else had this problem?

I don't want to be bothered in the freakin' parking lot of a dealership.

If a dealer ever did that to me, I'd turn around and leave.

I've never been in a BMW dealership that gives good customer service..

lets not get into Audi dealerships or stealerships they are the worst.

Baron has a lot of douchenozzles too but thier service and Shawn in parts are thier saving grace. Its sad when you have to find the youngest guy in Parts to get someone who knows thier shizz.

This one douche FUBAR'ed my dads purchase last year and his bitch ass dropped the ball afterward too. He got a promotion.

i get treated like crap when i go into my local audi/mercedes/porsche dealership. pisses me off.

Just have to face the fats pretty much that dealerships. I have experienced some of the most snobbish sales people at Midwestern Auto Group located in Dublin Ohio. My family members will not buy cars from them because of the treatment... Not only I buty also my mother has been "looked over"

I would always stop by and check out what they had they are a VW, Audi BMW, Land Rover, Lotus, auston martin porche ferrari rolls etc....

Here is one of my experiences. I walk in there (im not in scrubby clothes or anything never really am) and was just looking around checking out the cars in the showroom... There was both a silver 575 and a Vanquish in there. So I had to take a peek. As I walk in there are 2 sales men standing around just chatting... not a simple hello. That came 10 minutes later as I was leaving... As the guy states the price of the Vanquish. I was thinking in the back of my mind not to be a prick... so I acted like I was shocked and than left.

On a better note Nelsons Lamborghini is probably the best greeting and feeling free to chat about the cars. Hell I have a full brocure of the Murcileago. and was let sit in a Diablo Roadster. But I guess they knew who I was... the parents have bought all 4 vipers from them But they are always still very open to everybody I talk to I would buy a car from them any day of the week

ive had good luck in FL dealers, but braman bmw realy stands out, last week i just came in a plain white t shirt and blue jeans to take a look around what they had, as soon as i walked in the receptionist asked me if i would like a new car sales person to assist me and i said no thank you i was just looking around. Then i walked in to the showroom and looked at a carbon black m3 (never seen the color its awesome lil blue to it i think) and while i was there a sales person opened the door to it and asked me to sit down gave me the specs to the car talked about it was great never mentioned a thing about the price, after a lil chat i told him that i was just browsing but... that my dad was in the market for replacing his 02 325i for a 04 330i Performance Package he asks me what colors checks his computer and tells me hes going to have one exactly like the on i described in 2 days i gave my dad a call and they set up an appointment to see it next week. Cant complaint up to now.

that sucks..

some people had problems with the srt4 on test drives.. but MANY dealerships let you take out the car and "drive" it even.. yea, sucks for the buyer later on, with a car broken in improperly, so you gotta see the ones with low low miles

First time i went to audi of alexandria nobody talked to me because I am 18 and I walked up and asked somebody for something and they gave me a snide look. Than this twenty something guy, Josh I think greeted me nicely and I got my stuff done within 30 minutes. Well he left later and I got screwed because nobdy respects an 18 year old with a 6 figure bank account. I cannot touch it yet though

but you just have to create a friendship with one of them and bring in donuts. oh if you have an audi in the capital area DO NOT GO to HBL cuz they will steal alll of your money. They quoted me something 500 bucks more than AoA.

Ya, well, BMW is notorious for their terrible customer, treatment. When i bought the 330, they had to page someone 4 times before they reluctantly approached me.

i think alot of dealerships just dont think young people have the means to buy expensive cars. i went with my brother who is 22 (im 19) to look at an infiniti qx4 and the service was crap, we walked around outside and nobody came out although thats sortof expected at some dealerships, but then we were inside for like 10 mins walking around and they never even approached us. its like hello we are here to buy a car, sell us a car maybe??

it was at a chevy dealership though, and the salesman was a definite prick.

you're right....most women salesman greet me (I'm 17), and the guys just stare up and down to see what I wear, and where my parents are....

In ricer shops, it's even worse....they act angry when I ask them a question. They slam their binder on the table, look for the stuff I ask them real quick, and then go off somewhere else...

Well, East Bay BMW has pricks that dont know shit. Concord BMW has a couple pricks there, but overall, they are very friendly. Me and my dad went there to order his car way back when, I walked in the showroom a few minutes before he did, and everyone in there was very polite and cordial to me, a 19 yr old punk ass that looks 16. No condescendence whatsoever.
