I'm gonna shoot that idea right down. Nitro is not good. Sure it's cheap power, but the motor for that car is well over 10k.

If you really feel you need more power in an E46 M3 and want to have the motor last.....

Just toss a blower under the hood.

Here ya go.

I agree with L8APX. From what i've read, the e46 is a high complicated n/a race oriented engine that is already tweeked for maximum performance. I would definatley not consider nitrous without first researching proper compression for running nitrous with your particular engine, and probally let someone else be the guiney pig with nitrous and an e46 M3.

You best bet IMO would be to upgrade air induction, headers, exhaust systems, engine software, etc. Also, I hear that they are producing a low boost blower for the e46 m3 application (AA?). Are you not pleased with the power that your massive BMW powerplant is already producing ?

333 Horses aren't enough for you?

Focus on suspension modifications and go to the track.

No I am satisfied with 270 or 280hp with a car that is so heavy, I do alot of racing on the weekends. Also I have upgraded my exhaust, cold air, software, throttle bodies, so on all of these really produce minimal benefit at maximum cost. I have always had fast cars.. I think this m3 is my favorite but not the fastest. I would really like to get more from the motor.. Dinan is due to release a supercharger this year and I will look in to that.

Oh so your one of those speed demons . Have you upgraded you suspension like komp said? Also, do you happen to have any pictures of you car (engine bay) or dyno graphs? I'd be really interested in seeing how your car looks and what you're making power wise .

So do what you were just complaining about. Take the weight off. Either strip it, or start spending money on carbon parts. You might try to take everythign out of the car, then take the sound deadening out, and put the interior back in.

How could I strip weight. What would be the best thing to do. I am going to order some new lightweight recaro seats and remove my rear next month but what could I do that would really help.
