Exclamation The Best Radar Detector???

I've been hearing mixed opinions on the best radar detector. I just bought a Escort Passport 8500. I was under the impression that it was a good one. Now im hearing about the Valentine One. Anyone got any opions or websites that have facts. Im also interested in a laser jammer.

does it matter where the cop is?? When my 8500 beeps like crazy, i slow down. and a bogey counter, im sorry, but that is useless to me. A lot of ppl around here have 8500's, i've heard they are the best.

think of this.

you are driving and you see a cop and he shoots you your detector goes off OK by then you are at the speedlimit you pass that cop. you speed up as your alarm beeps for a few more seconds. the V1 on the other hand, after passing the cop, shows an arrow behind and a 1 then in edition to that a foward arow lights up and a 2 is on the bogey counter so I know there is another cop still ahead while you speed up and get snaged by the second cop.
I prove my point.

8500 has a bogey counter, well actually its not a counter, it shows a different bar for each radar signal and the strength of the signal, anyways the only difference is the arrows

Thanks but I think that i like my 8500. I have detected some laser but not soon enough to do anything about it. There isnt any local retailer that carries the valentine V1. Most people around here told me the Passport was the best.

both kick ass. both the V1 and 8500 have multiple receivers and are well built.

Yes they are useless against laser but laser only works when the cop is standing still, too narrow a beam. That and there arent that many lazer speedtraps around.
