| I had a 96 Eagle Talon TSI with a ported 16g turbo, full 3'' turbo back exhaust, running 18 psi, stock they are goverened to cut spark at 140, the highest I ever reached was 135, I was scared shitless.....in the BMW I have only hit 120, enough for me....but even I can say that a DSM can rape alot of cars with simple mods

| Matthew, THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!!! My friend had a 96 with a crank walk problem, he spilled STUPID money into the car to make it fast and it expired on him as a resultof the crank. Poor bastard. It was a really fast car for a minute there too!

From a stop, yes. From a roll with basic bolt-on's NO. I have a buddy with a 96 tsi awd - boost controller set at 18psi, turbo back exhaust, bov, intake, 18g turbo, safc and I can pull him about 2-3 from a 70-125 run. FWD tsi's, and gs-t's are a little bit faster due to the FWD with little to no drvietrain loss like the awd.

| My friend has a 90 TSi (AWD TURBO) all he has is full exhaust and he runs 13.5's. He raced my other friends 95 M3 (Stock except exhaust), from a 40 roll on the highway the TSi had the ///M by 4 cars to 140. I thought the M3 would have enough ///M Power to beat it but I guess it didnt. My friend with the M3 just bought a 100shot of NOS after he lost that race so he shouldnt lose to no Talon now... | I think many of you under estimate DSM's. The 4G63 is one of the best engines put out for cheap reliable horsepower, especially considering the 6-bolt. I have a pretty good friend that runs a 90 Eclipse GSX. He had 2.5" turbo back, stock 14B turbo, manual boost controller, intake, and fuel pump running 16psi. He ran is running an 8.8 in the 1/8th. He rapes me from a roll, or anything. Another good friend is running a 97 GS-T. He has intake, 3" turboback exhaust, big 16g turbo, boost controller, fuel pump, 550CC injectors, SAFC, and tuning. He pulled about 5 car lengths from a 20 roll spinning against my E30 M3. An E36 M3 only pulled about 3 not spinning. Right now he is rebuilding the engine with a 6-bolt block, 8.0:1 c/r, forged rods, and a PT63 turbo. He should be pushing 350fwhp with that setup at 26lbs of boost. And to the handling question....read the recent issue of SuperStreet with the Ultimate Street Car Challenge. 97 GSX with 440fwhp was running the same times as the Viper, and MUCH faster than any of the Supra's or other cars. Not to mention like 1.12G on the skidpad. Now tell me these cars can't handle. (were not talking about FWD editions, they torque steer horibly with more than stock power). Wes
