Put on new brake pads but pedal still feels low?

I have a 2000 323ci and I replaced the factory brakes with axxis ultimate break pads but the pedal is still just as low as it was with the worn down pads and the ebrake still comes all the way up. The brakes dont feel tight like they used to when my car was new, even though I expected them to since the pads are now new.

Is there some kind of adjustment I forgot to make or something?

Anyone have any input on these Axxis ultimate brake pads?..

Are the brake lines loosened?

What do you mean?.. How can I check? What would cause them to get loosened?

did you bleed the brakes?

E-brake has nothing to do with your brake pads.

Take off the cover and tighten down the 10mm nuts on the underside of the handle. Check its tightness to your liking. If it's not tight enough, just tighten the nuts more until it is.

As for your brake pedal, sounds like you forgot to bleed your brakes. You wouldn't have had to loosen up your brake lines for a routine pad change.
