The time it took for the BMW to redesign the 7 is said to be the 2nd fastest in automotive history, the only car with a faster facelift was the Pontiac Aztec..... Not a surprise considering how ugly the 7 is as it sits right now....

It's called a mid-model facelift. BMW has been doing it for years.

but the E38 was a clasic, like the E36, when the had the E36, E38 and E39 was BMWs glory days. but the E46 is no loss either.
