| If I'm not mistaken one of the E30 guys painted his chrome window trim, and it turned out really well. As for the rims, I don't see why it wouldnt work, might as well try? goodluck

| Most of us e30 guys do paint our chrom trim black. Use a rattle can of either flat black or satin whichever you like. Just scuff it with some low grit sand paper and spray a few coats. Make sure you let it dry completely before trying to reinstall it or else the paint will literally push off. I prefer satin because it leaves a bit of a sparkle in direct sunlight.

| Yeah, I talked to a guy here in my home town and he used to have chrome rims and he just paiinted them with some wheel spray paint...He said a couple of coats (letting them completely dry after each application) and it was all good. They look really nice. Most people probably couldn't even tell the difference.

| i think if you sent it to a shop they would just sand blast off the chrome then p-coat it.

| I don't think the "chrome" trim is actually chrome, so you don't really need to take it of, but for wheels deffinately.

| The chrome trim on e30s is not chrome, so sanding is fine for that. However, the wheels will definitly need to have the chrome removed. Probably by an acid bath or something. Nick |

| my brother is painting them for me, he sanded it down with 600 grit, still currently in the process, i'll let you know how it turns out.... : )
