| 4100k or 6000k HID which has the highest light output and looks best, like stock HID's.

| I have 6,000 on mine and the visibility is really good. I started with 8,500 but that was way too blue and hard to see. 4,100k's would be brighter and white.

| All OEM HID's are in the 4100K range, its just the projector that makes it look a diffrent color. If you want the brightest 4100K has the highest luminens so go with that.

| I just want insanely bright headlights. Color really isn't that much of an issue. are any brands brighter than others?

| Are HID's any brighter than a bright H1 bulb. If not, then which H1 bulb do you guys recomend? I want one that is bright but will last long and won't damage my ZKW's.

| Like everyone said... 4100K will be the brightest with the most light output.. anything higher will be more blue then purple... I put a set of 4100K HIDs on my jeep and they are bright as all hell... from far away they are bluish purple but reflect a bright white light on the road. |

| The thing is, my brother's 330ci with factory xenon doesn't seem any brighter than my h1's. Do you guys think it is really worth $450. The look of the HID's is not important to me, just the light output. Do 100watt h1's make a difference over 55w h1's. If they do, maybe i'll try those first. any whiter?

| the 100 watt H1s will be a lot brighter but you will have to upgrade your wiring harness to the headlight socket.. after a few months or so depending on usage, your wires will melt and your bulbs will have a nice brown glow .. I had 35 watt halogens in my jeep and the HIDs made all the difference in the world. Definitly worth the $$.. HIDs themselves are very bright but the housing is what makes them work wonders.I found this site very useful before I bought my HIDs.. http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/hl-hid-bulbs.htm Last edited by Denali : 02-18-2004 at 03:29 PM. |
