Which SUV?

Okay,i'm starting to look at some SUV's for the wintertime here in NY (even tho it's almost over). Driving in snow with 19's and potholes the size of mars really limits where i can actually drive-forget manhattan. The three so far i've been looking into is an Infinity QX4 (2000-up), a Benz ML430 (2000-up), or a 2000 GMC Denali(the older body style). Which one out of these would you pick and why? My price range is $20-$25k-the X5 is alittle out of my price range . Any opinion on these trucks are welcome,as well as any other suggestions that you might have. I'll be doing more hwy miles than anything else, and going thru manhattan is a must.So is AWD. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2001 QX4 and love it! Great for snow and getting to the cottage on unplowed roads.

Friend of mine has the Yukon Denali and as soon as the warranty ran out (which was about a year ago) it has turned into a money pit. Seems like anything and everything is going wrong.

I like the merc just never driven one.

Good Luck!

MB ML are money pitts as well. Doesn't drive well at all IMO, rough and lot of road and wind noise for a MB.

Toyota 4 Runner, one of the best offroad/snowcat SUV on the market.

being a MB tech, I wouldn't recommand the ML piece of crap, take the QX4, used ones are very cheap & much more reliable than the ML

thanks for the responses! keep em coming. i'd have to agree with you,clintonM3 about the 4runner.i used to have access to a '99, and that thing i could NOT get stuck in,even in almost two feet of snow. but the interior was just alittle too cramped for my taste and lacked some creature comforts.

the denali is real nice esp good for towing and not going offroad

6 of my friends from Texas have them, there all over that state.

Dont put 22s on it or else the ride feels like crap.

I know i hate it when i post a poll and someone suggests something that i didn't have listed...BUT i'm a big ford fan when it comes to SUV's...the expedition (previous bodystyle) i think is a great car...and if you're looking for something a little more comfortable my family used to have a Navigator which was a great car very comfortable and we drove it from Sacramento up to Lake Tahoe all the time and it handled the snow really well. Also a big fan of the previous durango and my dad has a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 Limited (99) and that thing has been a beast pulls a 19 foot boat with no problem and handled 1500 pounds of cinderblocks in the back for my senior prank in high school. Plus it's AWD and can really get up and go for an SUV. But of the three you listed I have to choose the QX4 Nissan always makes their cars to last.

ford is such crap along with mb- get yourself a nice teal blue or black 99-2000 denali I owned 2 - I totaled 1 - it is un stoppable in the snow and they are quick .. interior is very ample with heated seats and nice stock stereo - the bose is really good - it's big and potent for performance - I had a powerdine supercharger on it and damn for it's size it was quick..

I would say use your money for a down payment on a 3.0 X5. YOu can find them pretty cheap now. Other than that, the MB is crap, the Nissan is crap and the the Denali is whatever. Get a 4-runner. I've had 3 three of them, and they are great in the snow.
