| not that it isnt enough but I want the best performance possible without adding too much weight not making my rims look too much smaller...you think 235s are the best to go? plus 225s on potholes in NYC would get bubbles easier right? |

| it depends more on the sidewall than the width. either 235/35/18 or 225/35/18 would keep your gauges correct

| OK well more traction and contact area = more performance (in accelerating and especially braking.) You could get away with 235/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. The first number (width) is a percentage of the second (sidewall height) so if the width is higher and the sidewall smaller, the overall width of the tire will look the same. Those are the sizes I'm running BTW.
