after market cd player

i just installed a jvc kamelion cd player in my 96 328i. i installed the wireharness and antenna and the cd player turns on but no sound. what is wrong or what else do i need to do. thanks i need help asap.

Is there possibly a factory amp? I know in my car there was one, and I had to bypass it before my aftermarket stereo would work.

YES, MORE THAN LIKELY. DID YOU BUY A WIRING ADAPTER KIT? if so did they ask you if it had a premium sound option? check that first, as long as you have the wires correct.
