| well if you think about it look at the 2004 yamaha r1. 375lbs heavy with close to 180 hp. thats a damn good hp/weigh ratio so you would prolly need a car with that close of a hp/weight raio. .48 hp per pound for r1 thats pretty good |
| ||||
| for example, a 3200lb M3 with 1000hp would have 3.2lbs per horsepower compared to the R1's 2.08lbs/HP. I think the supra guys usually say HP=CC, so a 600hp supra can hang with a 600 bike. whether thats whp or bhp i dont know if you simply want speed, you've got 2 too many wheels...

| The AA Turbo M Coupe makes about 630hp and can beat a Yamaha R1. Maybe 650hp+ and a 2.79 rear end. Although the M3 will only top out at 185mph on OBD1. Last edited by BMWGuy206 : 01-15-2004 at 02:19 PM. |

| Do most bikes have a speed limiter?

| i think a lot of them are limited to like 190(the ones that can go that fast) but i could be wrong

| depends on how fat the bike rider is... ie a really fat bike rider will not only mess up the bikes power-to-weight advantage, but he will also disrupt the bike's aerodynamics. So a 3200lb M3 with 350hp would have 9.14lbs per horsepower compared to a 2004 yamaha r1's 375lbs with close to 180 hp that is also carrying a really fat man who weighs around 1500lbs., this gives the bike 10.41 lbs per horsepower not to mention the adverse aerodynamic effects and what I like to call the 'ripple effect' caused by the oscillating flab of traveling at speed, this would further disrupt the bike's ability to accellerate and hang with an M3. As you can see there are several variables this contest would depend on, so an honest answer really is hard to come up with...

| GSX-R 1000s trap @ 140+ I believe. I'd reckon a good 800hp at the crank to give a standard 1000cc bike a run for the money. The 800rwhp+ Viper guys traditionally own the liter bikes. |

you will never beat a liter bike and dado's wont either ![]() |

are you really that stupid? a guy no matter how fat, and the aerodynamics would KILL a 350hp m3... GEEZ, this is the stupidest post ive seen in a long time.. an r1 is like a 10 second flat 1/4 mile... a 350 hp m3 is no where near that... a 600cc bike is about an 11 second 1/4 mile... hmmm how many 350hp m3s can even run that ![]() |

| I ask because of a couple of videos I have seen: one the Vader M3 beating the Ducatti 9?? and dado vs. the R1 i think. In both vids the M3's both Turbo appeared to win. Or was it a case of the driver beating the rider not the machine?
