| Black on an M3 looks really bad, no offense to those who currently own a cosmos E36... I have had (4) bimmers titled under my name in the last two years, the first was alpineweiss, then red, black, and now again red - the black car was a low mileage cosmos M3, there was nothing wrong with this car with the exception of the color, here is a brief outline of the story: About a year ago (give or take) I got a very good deal on a low-mileage cosmos '95 and purchased it, I didn't like cosmos on an E36 M3 (it makes it look too plain imo), but the owner had detailed the car so it was looking perfect, and I saw it and fell in love - I purchased it mainly thinking I would fall in love with the color, but the sad truth is unless you stay on top of the car 24/7 it will look like crap, the slightest dirt will show up on cosmos, it is a black car - 30 minutes after you are done cleaning it you will see dirt... I ended up selling this car to my brother and buying a hellrot (best E36 color, imo) M3 with a few more miles (79K vs. 47K)... The top (3) colors on an E36 M3 are hellrot, estoril, and dakar - this is a sports car, in black it looks just like everything else on the road, and it is a bitch to keep clean. Alpineweiss looks decent with clears, but again it wouldn't be my first choice... From someone who has owned both colors, don't buy a cosmos M3.

| Hmm, i really like both colors. White is easier to keep clean, looks hotttt with new rims (works great esp w/ACS IMO). It also doesn't show off swirl marks like black cars are cursed with. But black cars just look evil, if i had a black car i'd throw down for some HREs, black w/polished lip and call it a day for exterior mods. But, as someone stated erlier, black and white tend to blend in more. Personally i like colors that are more vibrent (hence me getting estoril). But i really like the blues, Avus is superhot too. Although i've never been a huge fan of dakar it does look pretty sweet...and hellrot looks just plain awesome.

| hahah well thanks for everyones opinions... ive had a shwartz II E36 and loved it because it was like whoa after a nice wash, and i had a pearl white S14 which wasn't bad, if i wasn't getting a 95 i would opt for the Estoril/Dove Grey... but yeah... we shall see what happens. Thanks again for your opinions.

| i dont mind washing my car, i tried to wash my babee every week. I rarely washed the S14 cause i dunno i just didn't love the white. Seeing the aftermath of washing a black car is soo rewarding... until 30 min later the dusts settles. But because i used to own a black bimmer, ima lil bias towards cosmos.
