Oh Damn....Any suggestions?

I had my stock motorsport rims recently sent in to get powder coated black. Stupid me forgot to tell them to polish the lip!!!! So now i have the feeling that all the rims are going to be tottally black. What should I do? Is the only thing to do is to take them back and have them do it??

Dude, just give them a call, and tell them not to powder coat the lip.

did you even try calling them? If you are going to have to send it back to them to get it done, might as well tell them to do it and just tack it onto the price. So you dont have to wait for you to get them, then send them back, and wait some more for it to get done.

jack up the rear end, put it in 1st/drive and take some fine grit sandpaper to those mofos. if you work the grit up to that of a wet sand grade , you should have a very nice polished set of lips. :wink:

If those are the wheels you sent in, they will look good all black. There really is no lip to polish on them since the spokes run right into the outer part of the wheel and there is no real lip that can be polished. I think if they just did the spokes black and polished the rest, it would look weird.

Rob, Ya I noticed your pics (above) and I got a REAL good idea of what they are going to look like. (I like!)

Polo M3...I am going to re-polish my 18" AVS rims (the pic you posted) and they will be for up for grabs a.s.a.p.
