| almost too good to be true. MAke sure the title is clear, car fax it. Also check to see if there is an extended warranty. Maybe because it is cash up front. Check it out carefully, maybe get a mechanic to check if it is sound.

| Check the VIN, I can't remember what the code for the M factory is but if it's an M then it would have an M VIN number. You can do a search there are lots of sites with the BMW VIN decryptions. |

| When looking at any questionable cars a paint thickness gauge is a good investment. All panels should have roughly the same readings, and only factory finishes will be consistant. If a panel was repaired it will show on the gauge. They cost about $45.00 but will last a lifetime of car buying. Here is a link for one of these gauges. http://www.mikeogara.net/tools/paint...ess-gauge.html ![]() That is a good price, unless it was hit. Don't trust car fax for everything. Good luck, Matt

| carfax is a load of BS, go to the DMV/MVA and ask them to check whether the title is clear or not. Also as Matt said, you might want to check the paint thickness yourself because even if it has a clear titel, it does not mean that the person couldn't hit a pole or get into some other type of accident and repair the car himself... |

| save 45 bucks and use your eyes and fingers.....feel for paint edges check for clamp marks on the frame check to see if the bolts were turned under the hood

I, among many others, shaved the sidemakers and relocated them to the moulding strip. It's all about the VIN #
