C43 AMG specs

I was just wondering about the specs on the 1998 C43 AMG and how would a stock e36 M3 match up to it? Thanks in advance.

Beautiful car. V8, 305 HP, 302 ft/lbs of TQ, beautiful interior that the E36 M3 can't even approach, and it handled decently - with the only drawback (or selling point in some cases) being that it was only available in an automatic. On the street, the car is every bit a match for the E36 in a straightline in the same way the 540i Sport is - Big V8 thrust, with the car actually out accelerating the E36 M3 stock-for-stock over 80 mph on the highway.

Of course, the acceleration matchup is only my experience, I have known E36 M3 drivers who have annihilated C43 drivers, and the reverse is also true. It is one of those first-to-get-the-jump-wins matchups.

Dude that car is sick. I have drivn' in it and it will smoke an e36 m3. It is one fast ass car and will diff take the m3 at highway speeds. Its a total beast.

No, it won't. Not even close. The only time the C43 has an acceleration advantage is over 80 mph - otherwise the two cars are very closely matched. A very good friend of mine owns a C43, we have run the two cars together countless times, and there was just no smoking going on - however he was indeed a bit faster on a 1-2-3 count at 80 mph.

0-60 time for a C43 is about 5.6sec, car isn't bad, but in my opinion some suspension work needs to be done, and maybe a Kleemen supercharger, if you want something even more rare you can try to ship an C55 over, it came out for 1 year only 2000 model, looks exactly the same, but has a better autotranny and more power
