Forget about Subaru and Mitsu WRC cars, this is the real thing!!

Its from the -80, and it is a "gruppe B" Lancia Delta S4 1,8L with turbo and kompressor (700+ hp). Gruppe B was for the extreme cars such as Audi Urquatro, Peugeot 205 t16, Ford rs 200 and badest of them all, this Lancia Delta S4. The cars was so extreme, that some of them was driven by fomel1 drivers (and even they said that these cars was more extreme than formel1 cars)

The reason gruppe B no longer exist is because when Lancia came out with this S4, it was to extreme and to differcult to handle (some gruppe B drivers died). So they closed the whole gruppe B thing down in fear of that Audi and others would buildt even more dangerous sick cars.

Turn up the volume and listen to the sound of it, enjoy...

Well Lancia Delta S4, Audi Urquattro, Peugeot 205 t16 and Ford rs200 are all collectors car now, its not something for daily use ( Ford rs 200 and Lancia S4 didnt even come out in roadversions because there was no time to make them before gruppe B was closed down)

Expect to pay from 30 000 - 150 000 US dollars for one of those cars.

Group B was something hi-tech fot it's time. The ban of Group B was logical, because the drivers couldn't handle the cars, which had 3.5s to 60mph on gravel. Instead, the Group a was given the green light to become the top category of rally. Later it evolved into well known WRC.

Thats an integrale on the picture. That is what Lancia came up with after the s4 (they used Integrale in gruppe A) Integrale are also in roadversions, badass cars, 0-62 mph in 5,7 sec
