E46 Hardtop Cabrio?(ala SLK or Lexus)

Anybody know anything about this?

Click picture to see a quick video of hardtop opening...it's at the end and very short. !
Be patient...it's kinda looks like the Lexus roof or SLK.
I wonder if this is just for a trade show or for possible production?

I read about this in a scandinavian car magazine, think I left it in my car. Can't get it though, because of a blizzard. I'll go get it tomorrow if noone else has given more info about this by then..

It was a concept created by one of the companies that fabricate hard-top convertibles.

When you say "concept"...do you mean concept like that thing is rolling around somewhere, or it's smoke and mirrors like CAD created concept...i cant tell from that video if it real or not.

Did E46 330Cis have optional place on hard tops? I saw one today, and wondered what it was for a moment, but I saw the soft top boot opening, and a gap under the roof, sealed.

Any ideas? I honestly don't know.

Yea there is a hardtop option that you can buy but it isn't a retractable one...You can have it on the car but you have to have storage for it when you want it off. There is a silver e46 vert in my school parking lot with a hardtop and 17" BBS wheels...looks pretty nice
