Took the plunge

I finally gave in to the nagging voice in my head and went down to my local BMW dealer and put my name down for delivery of a brand spanking new BMW M3 CSL for delivery in August (They said that it should be ready for me to pick up my August, but could be late July) I've got my ticket to the M3 CSL release party that starts at midnight on August 23rd (subject to change)

God knows how i'm going to afford £58'000, but i'm sure i'll find a way

It's going to be my weekend car, along with taking it to the track and i plan on taking it on the Gumball next year (If i get it in time?)

I believe they didn't think the US market was viable for such expensive of a Bimmer..

the US regulations are to strict the CSL wouldnt meet all of them and they were going to change the car for the US market

According to European Car, the testing required to allow the M3 CSL to be sold in the states can take up to 18 months and BMW didn't want to wait.

No, those tires are DOT approved in the US. I have a set, but I only use them on the track.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's sound levels were a factor in it not going to the US

It's a very loud car.
