Audi A4 1.8Turbo Giveaway?

(I am just posting this to see if people would be game for this or not… )

So I have decided to sell my Audi A4 and move on to something else, and I wanted to make it a little interesting. So I decided to sell tickets and raffle the car off. Tickets would be $50 CDN ($39USD) and 400 tickets would be sold.

Since this would be somewhat spread out geographically, I would sell the tickets through Ebay using a dutch auction with fixed prices (dutch auctions let you list the same thing, multiple times). If you didn’t want to use Ebay, tickets could be purchased aside, but the Ebay purchase is being added as an extra security so people don’t think I am going to run off with the money.

Furthermore I am not even going to list this as a go unless I get at least 430 people that are seriously interested.

When the raffle is listed, a car fax will be provided along with the VIN, recent photos and more.

And for those that are concerned about it being rigged, I am looking into having a third party do the draw.

1. I'm not interested.
2. It's illegal to do this without the proper tax forms and such.

Hmmm, wasn't aware of the legallities. Mind you, the lottery related laws are somewhat leiniant (sp) in Ontario, compared to the US from my understanding, but I wonder how its treated be based out of Canada, targeting Americans hmmm.

Lottary laws in Ontario - I thought you needed to be either the government or a charitable organization? Best check with a lawyer - Good luck

Yea you have to either get the proper tax and other stuff, the only way you can get out of that is if you give the money to charity which your not planning to do, lawyer may be helpful....

who the hell cares, as long as it's private, you are okay. I think its a great idea, a 1 in 400 chance of getting this car for 39 bucks is really good. I'm in. I have an Audi 1.8T and the car is absolutly just the most amazing thing.
