Bomb-proof BMW too heavy for roads http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe...eut/index.html OSLO, Norway (Reuters) -- Norway's prime minister cannot use his new bomb-proof car despite a threat of attack by al Qaeda because its state road authority says it is too heavy. ~I saw a 740i with bomb protection, etc. at a dealership I worked. Each door was like opening a vault and the windows were as thick as a fist. They had to work on it with the garage closed - only to be handled by the head mechanic.

"In May, a leader of Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network urged Muslims to attack the interests of the United States, Britain, Australia and Norway. It was unclear why Norway, which did not take part in the war in Iraq, was singled out."

We have a BMW High Security 5 Series...I of course can't go into specifics but it's pretty cool, small firearms protection, runflats, and hiden compartments. More info can be found at (No info here on 5 series, but they can produce just about and High Security Vehicle you want), it's also where us diplomats order our BMW's at Diplomatic unfortunately no M vehicles are offered at Diplomatic cost.

If a car in Norway is heavyer than 4 ton, it has to be registrated as a truck. And a truck is not allowed to have more than 3 seats. It can be registrated as a bus, but then again it got to have atleast 9 seats.
