South African BMW owners

There is now a South African mailling list, that discusses anything BMW related in SA, and to unite the BMW owners in SA and share knowlege and experiences. The Gauteng BMW have been invited to join aswell.

Driving a BMW in South Africa has to be the stupidest thing in the world to do. The carjacking rate there is INSANE.

yea there was an article in a magazine, the cops drive BMW's and hang out the windows with automatic weapons to kill car jackers... crazy stuff

Jeez people, where do you guys get your information, this is not Africa where there is lions running around, and no the cops don't hand out of their car windows with guns, they are not even allowed to shoot if they themselves or someone else is in life danger. The highway cops drive 328's and 330's and Mercs.

BMW is probarly the most popular car in South Africa, we also have the most high tech BMW outside Germany, it's in Rosslyn just outside Pretoria, I was on tour through it. We also go the last 30 limited Ac Schintzer edidtion Mcoupe's that was ever made, this was the Mcoupe with the E46 M3 engine in and the AC mods, and BMW just imported 50 M3's CSL into the coutry.

There is loads of peopel driving BMW's and Porches. And we have very decent roads, it's not the bush people, I should take some photo's for you people, or maybe make a video of the next ilegal street race meetup, people pitch up in Supercharged M3's, E30 325is, loads of Mcoupe's, M3's with NOS etc.
