If your car is originally OBD1 it is not illegal to keep it obd1.
That is exactly what I did. OBD1 will always have an advantage over OBD2, but OBD2 tuning has come a long ways! I make more power than a few guys with cammed 3.2s.

Hey guys....I'm new...Very new.

Well i'm probably (crossed fingers) getting an M3 pretty soon.

Well...it's kinda off topic, but I'm thinking about getting a 96-97 M3 because its in my price range...but since it's OBD II is it going to cost me alot to get more HP compared to a 95 M3.

I know that 95 has 3 liter engine and 96+ have the 3.2liter. But Seeing that OBD II doesn't give much tunning potential, should i get the 95. The other thing is....exactly what makes the 96 better than 95???
