Vash, sounds like your more into 'show' than 'go' and thats cool, im more into 'go' myself....to me, in order to advertise 'silvia' emblems on your car, you need to have a real silvia...or at least have the powerplant from one...since that is wat made them famous. I have a '95 and just scratching the surface with mods. starting out as a base model with auto tranny... ive added AEM shortram with custom heatshield (soon to be homemade ram air icebox type dealy (just some shit to ram the air and cool the crap out of it)) Apex'i N1 Dual catback, and 17" Racing Hart C5s (my only show) wrapped in Khumos, also added factory foglights and clear bumper lenses. Awaiting install are my 30mm 300zx twin turbo 4 piston alum. calipers/stainless lines/brembo rotors with motul 5.1 fluid and some other treats with the brake system, just need a 300zx m/c now.... also awaiting install is sprint springs with kyb agx's, and cusco os front strut tower brace. also collecting parts for 5spd swap which i will perform this spring most likely...tons to do, just lack of money to do it sounds like you have a nice car, now u just need some real GO!

the S14 body style were produced from 95-98. The orginal headlights was produced 95-96, in 1997 they changed the look of the taillights/added sideskirts/and changed the front end to include the slanted or 'angry' headlights.

some other little info... a handful of 95's were OBDI, midway through 95 they changed to OBDII diagnostic systems. I was one of the lucky ones to score an OBDI

rb26dett has fitment issues due to the twin turbos, the turbo nearest the firewall has clearence issues with the steering rack. This can be solved simply by converting to single turbo. In addition, in order to retain RWD, an RB25det transmission/oil pan(RWD pan is different than AWD pan)/etc. needs to be sourced. SR20 is a lot easier and more parts are readily availiable in the US. another easier option is turbo'n the stock US KA motor, which, when accompanied buy a turbo, can easily outperform sr20-powered cars due to its large torque numbers. those are thanks to the KA24DE (DOHC, produced 91-98) and the KA24E (produced 89-90). the motor is the same motor and came from the late 80s Nissan Hardbody pickups. When the 240sx was introduced to America back in 89. the upcoming Z32 300zx (90-96) came in both N/A and twin turbo versions and Nissan VIPs decided that the lightweight/RWD/powerful sr20'd car was too much of a threat to its heavier/more expensive brother the 300zx. well, in this business, money talks, so they ridded the sr20det's and CA18det's (found in the 180sx...wat we know as the FASTBACK s13) b4 we even got a taste of them.

They handle pretty good, they can be fun too. But remember, they are silvias, so they should be drift cars.

Handling? well thats wat they were designed for!!! they werent designed to be drag cars, they were designed for the twisties!!!! with a out of the box stellar fully independent suspension, disc brakes all around, and a near perfect weight distribution of 53/47, they make EXCELLENT cars for handling, just underpowered here in the US
