Possible to polish lips of rims???

Hey all, i was wondering if it is possible to get the lips on your rims polished to a mirror finish? right now i have a machined polish on my lips, but i was wondering if i could go somewhere(i live in westchester, ny) to go and get them shiny polished like HRE wheels and iForged. Let me know. Thanks

Better do it yourself.

Time and patience is the key.

And it's not like chrome. You'll have to feed it to keep the Showroom mirror finish

Sand with 600 grid, then 1200 and 1500 (with water)

The result will be as you wish and this will be a good reason to buy a rotary tool

(dremel with 5 speed is the one i use)

This guy used Heavy hardware on an Intake. But for my lips i hand sanding them myself and i used a dremel with foam pad with Two kind of compound.

Ah, thanks for the help guys. I guess my winter break might be a good time to do this since i am taking my wheels off for the winter. Just curious though, i just had knee surgery and i am not very crafty so if i were to go somewhere, where should i go and how much do you think they would charge??? Thanks for the info.

Crafty is not a problem but knee surgery it's seriously one i never did before but i wanted to save money to invest on my car.

And when you apply the polish and the shine appear it's an awesome feeling.

At quebec there's a good place. They only fixing wheel. What you have to find is a place like this.

Do some call at garage or at speed shop around you. You'll surely find someone to do it. Sanding and painting a entire wheel was 200$ CDN here.

Only polishing lips it's really more easier, just hope less expensive.
