Stupid woman runs red light and creams my car!!

Well shit!! I was driving home for thanksgiving break from college on my normal route home, part of which consists of some stoplights. So, I am at this stoplight highway 12 and sunset blvd in fairfield/Suisun City, for any of familar with the north bay.
Anyhow, My light is red and I am on hwy 12 waiting there and I notice this big Mac truck to the adjacent street to my right on sunset pulling up, but just as he comes to hwy 12, the my light turns green for me, so I am looking towards the right to see if this guy was gonna go in front of me because the mac truck was kind of inching like it thought it could make it before we got to where it could turn onto hwy 12...then all of a sudden BAM!!! I get knocked over to the right I see some smoke and then this blue minivan in front of me I am like oh shit! Stupid bitch ran the red light on the turn lane from the other direction on hwy 12. She must have rand the light by HELLA because the light was green for a loooong time. So I get out TONS of people are pulling over and are like are you okay?? Everyone was like that woman TOTALLY ran the red light we will be witnesses and all gave me their numbers and said to not hesistate to call them if she tries to weasle out of it. One woman calls the police and the cop shows up, but he wouldn't take a police report wtf!?? He said we don't work for the insurance company our job is to make sure you two exhange info and that you get out of the area safely. I thought the police were required to take a report. Things that made this whole process more difficult is that I didn't have my wallet because it got stolen, so I didn't have a license, officer then asks for registration and insurance ok no prob go in the glovebox not there wtf!! So I have to call my mom to go into the filing cabinet where all my insurance info is and all, and give him that info, then on top of that I have to make all these decisions about where I want to have my car towed and what I am going to do.
The damage on the car was pretty bad hood was all mashed up, need, bumper mashed, driver side quarter panel mashed, nose piece kindey grill mashed. The bumper was like pushed over to the passenger side that it was like hanging 1 foot to the side of the car, like someone grabbed my bumper and pushed it over laterally to the side a foot. My zkws are toast, as well as one of my 6000k Catz bulbs. my eyelids are busted also. I was leaking coolant and so there you have it. I am soo PISSED. It's gonna be such a BITCH to have all this aftermarket stuff sorted out. Plus all the work that went into putting dde lightning into the headlights and fitting the h1 6000k bulbs into the zkw housing.
I am wondering if I should get a carbon fiber hood or afermarket bumper if I gotta fix all this. I really like the stock bumper look is there anything that has that look with a little more pizzaz? Or a hood with some scoops or something? I am also wondering if this is a good time to just get zkw's with the e39 projectors and all.

my roomy and i were out on the road last night...and he blew a couple stop lights...cuz he's fairly new to the road and he was paying attention to the road and NOT the lights...i got up on his a$$ about that...thats prolly wat happened...but that woman is STUPID.....nehow...good luck

I was soo shocked at what happened it didn't even occur to me to even yell, now I wish I had, now this WHOLE thing is setting in to me now. It's gonna be such a hassle with the aftermarker stuff. Stupid bitch didn't even say anything to me really she was like umm do you want my insurance? Now when I think about it I should have went off on her right there and been like NO of course I don't want your insurance what the **** do you think you dumb cunt! Of course I do!!! Sorry to rant soo much, but it is soaking in now how much of a hassle this will be.

Her insurance company is gonna get me rental car, I will make sure of it!

I feel your pain. I loss my wonderful '92 Integra about 1.5 years ago. So I was in flowing traffic going the speed limit (thankfully) and I saw the red geo storm (insult to injury) at the stop sign and the I hear my boyfriend say "oh Shit" and wham. All I remember was the sound of the impact and then I was facing the wrong way in the opposite lane with the windshield wipers on (how that happened, I dunno). There were no windows left on the impact side but the tinted saved both of us from getting covered in glass.

The stupid bitch admitted total fault saying that she bent over to answer her cell phone (12am) and she doesn't know why she went. At least she admitted fault. But the police came and took a full report, which is required of them. This accident happened in California when I lived there. Needless to say I did not get nearly the value of my car (nevermind the mods). I was so furious that I couldn't speak, my boyfriend did most of the talking. If I has seen the girl, I would have kicked her ass. I then had migraines for like two weeks because of it.

The only good was that I went ahead and bought my BMW.

These people give women drivers a bad name, I'd like to think that I am a good one.

But fight this one hard because the insurance company will try to screw you and if her insurance is Farmers, buckle down. I had a year to finally settle scores. They should give you something for all the mods and try to get stuff out of the car if you can, I pulled my stereo that night. Later they wouldn't even let me get my UC Berkeley plate frame off of my car.

Listen to me very closely. The cop lied to you. He was probably too lazy but it IS their job to write reports. The woman should have been issued a citation as well, witnesses accounted for, conditions documented, etc. Call the department and speak to the chief IMMEDIATELY. File a complaint against the present officer and get a report written. YOU NEED THIS RECOURSE. If she decides to weasel out of it, she will succeed. At that point its her word against yours. Sink your teeth into this bud, if you don't youll be seriously screwed.

Absolutely correct. A report should have been made. I'd call the department and raise hell. That's unbelievable that the cop didn't file a report.

last year I was rear ended by 2 tourists driving a rental car...

it took Dollar Rent a Car 9 weeks to pay for the damages, rental replacement, and storage costs... I had a rental for 9 weeks out of pocket till they reimbursed me. Who would think Dollar Rent a Car couldn't just GIVE me a rental. I had to get one from Enterprise.
