How long before Rubbing Out new finish

Hey whats up, I need a couple opinions.

I want to know how long you think I should wait before starting to rub out the clearcoat on the bumper I just painted tonight. It is ebony pearl black, and I want to know the best time and technique to apply the rubbing compound.

Rubbing compound is very abbrasive. It should not go anywhere near fresh paint.

You can lightly machine buff most fresh automotive grade paints with very fine liquid polish and a foam buff pad after about 12hours, less if it was bake boothed.
