Alarm system installation for 1997 M3? So I just bought a 1997 M3 coupe and it does NOT have an alarm, keyless entry, etc. Would this car be pre-wired for such an option? There *is* a spot on the dash for the security light, so I would assume so... If so, how much cash would this run me?

It probably is prewired (most were) look in the trunk on the left side there should be a round disk that says the car is prewired for an alarm and another that says it's prewired for a CD changer. As far as cost for the alarm, the factory ones are expensive and don't do nearly as much as an aftermarker (Clifford, Alpine, Crimestopper etc). The run about 100 to several hundred dollars plus the install which can cost about the same.

I really, dont know wat brand mine is.. its just the cheapest i seen in the Pennysaver Ad. Went in to check it out, and got it .. as for my friends, I think it was called "Thor" he got it from Ebay, and installed it at the same place i got my alarm installed, and installation was only 40-50$ ..
