2002 ///M Compact? Specs?

i just looked today at my mums car and it says on the registration its a "compact m" im confused i thought it was a 318ti altho its been debadged because of the ///M styling kit that i think it has, what do u guys think?

im pretty sure all M cars say something like "M coupe" "M3" etc etc on the vin plate or whatever that is. although i might be wrong. check there. or if im wrong someone please let me know

Is it a Manual?? As in 5 speed stick shift?
