To NOS or not to NOS?

I got my 95 m3, I'm installing the aa stage 2 gen 3 turbo, and now I'm considering putting the bottle to it along with the ntercooler kit spray kit. What are your opinions on this.

If your already going turbo why need nitrous? I mean if you really need that much power u might as well go for a supra; its built for boost

I say go for it. Now are you getting the kit that sprays into the intercooler or one that soley cools the intercooler with no nitrous in combustion? Either way, it'll either give you a moderate boost of power/help spool the turbo (50 shot at most maybe?) or it'll chill the intercooler. Hell yeah. Oh and I think there is a Fast And The Furious Edition ntercooler spray kit... go for it

Yep, here it is. Only thing is it is made by Nitrous Express and not NOS (don't know if you wanted the specific NOS brand or you were refering to nitrous as 'nos'). This goes for $599.99 ... booya

I saw a guy in socal at a wheelpower show with a black e36 m3 with a nitrous fed turbo charger... i asked him about it and he said ran fine, it was just a 50HP kit. Some one here might now him or maybe post the question in the regional forum for cali.

oh, btw I have a nitrous kit I am considering selling . Its a wet kit with a 75HP jet used for about 6 months. The nitrous kit is made by NOS.

I'ts called: Nitrous... Squeeze... or Spray. Anyone that calls it "Nos" shouldn't be a allowed to drive a golfcart.

I want the nitrous to help spool the turbo and get rid of the turbo lag. A small shot should do the trick. Also it will help by shooting the mist on the intercooler.

NOS...mmmm.... nah. It can be pretty dangerous if you ask me, and what purpose does it really have. A turbo BMW is good enough, I personally think. On top of that you use it up, and have to buy more. If you race and need a boost maybe, but if you're not racing you shouldn't even consider it.

Nitrous (N20) itself is not combustible, but rather aids by accelerating the combustion in the engine. Yeah your engine can blow if your running a rediculous shot on stock internals (or upgraded sometimes), but thats a risk your just going to have to take. From what I can remember, the max shot for running safe on a BMW engine is 75.

If your not racing, they why even bother with a turbo system? Obviously there are significant gains with using nitrous, so i'm assuming that's why he would even consider it.

Nitrous Oxide isn't for everyday use. You don't just get off a stoplight and think "Oh, my turbo is laggin', 75 shot of nitrous time!" Hell no, and some nitrous, (please NEVER refer to it as NOS, I dissed some ricer about it a little while ago and pwned him) will blow your engine with more than a 75 shot. Get a 50 shot or just get a water kit to spray on your FMIC.
