breaking in miles..

just wondering what are the affects to engine if it isnt properly broken in right when it was new.. what in the engine is most likely to fail as result.. also around what miles do you relize the affect.. like around 10,000k or higher up like 50,000k..

i think buring oil is a sympton to an engine that isnt broken in properly

Yeah, burning oil will certainly be a symptom, but at the same time its very hard to trace the origin of a problem, especially burning oil. The reason burning oil is likely though is because the piston rings do not have time to seat properly when the motor is not broken in safely.
