Scanner Jammaer and radar detector

Does any one have suggestions or experiences where these worked or failed. Has any used the Phazer jammer. Do scanners really help. What are the best?

Scanners help when your in a pack, or out doing something that you shouldnt be doing. I have one, works great for me and very entertaining....radar detector valentine one, no doubt about it....and phazer jammers dont work, neither do any radar jammers, their are a couple laser jammers that work pretty well. Hope that helps

Thanks. So no on the Phazer? I had high hopes. I have 8 tickets and need help. What jammers do work and how well. Anyone have experience with them?

Their are only a few Laser Jammers that have been tested and work. The Blinder, Liditek (sp?), and the Escort ZR3.

You can find some independent studies on them on the net. The blinder did pretty good, the Liditek didn't have the dual frontal transmitters at the time of the testing, so they went with just the single one, so it didn't do so well. The Zr3 was using the 2 fronts and a single rear, and it scoerd a 98. It kicked some serious ass from all the distances and they said that it was the most convincing win due to the other's.

The ZR3 has a mute button for the transmitters so that you can shut it off after you have slowed down so that the officer doesn't get suspicous after reading errors. The Lidatek has an automatic one, so you don't have to push a button. I was really set on the Lidatek, but oh well.

Now that was a couple of months ago, so I am sure that Lidatek offers the duals, and blinder is coming out with a new model too. Anyone of the three are good and work. I just didn't want to wait and wanted one that was tested and proved. I opted for the ZR3. Got it for 375$ at radarbusters.com.

I have my ZR3 laser "shifter" mounted up, wires through the firewall, and am pulling the dash today so I can push the wires through so I can have the display panel (as well as V1 display) mounted infront of my gauge display. It's gonna look fuggin awsome and I can not think of I a better place to mount them.

The V1 has saved me one ticket for sure already. A dark curvy road behind the Air Base that no one is ever on, is where I usually stretch my car out. 3 or 4 nights ago, I was passing by and decided for my monthly flogging through the backroad, and the V1 went ape-shit. After only having it for a couple of days and getting false-alarms everywhere, I was going to write it off as radar being emitted from the Tower on the runway. I decided to slow down because the beeps sounded diffferent than before (I didn't know what KA alarms sounded like) and the signal was getting faster like a torpedo on Sonar. Sure enough, there was Johnny sitting in the dark, on the side of the road, pointing right at me. That would have been a bad night had I not had a Radar detector.

Anyways, sorry for blabbering on, been on the "radar& laser" kick for the past 2 weeks!!! I have a 1200 mile roadtrip to Texas starting tomorrow, so I wanted all the top-notch toys for a safe, and ticket-less journey. I will show you some pics of the set-up when I am finished.

Hmmmm.....police scanner......I think I neeed one of those too!!!

I got a Valentine 1 a couple days ago, and i love it. I had an Escort 8500 before the Valentine, and it worked great too. The only reason i got the valentine was cuz my brother took my escort.

Hey what can I say I like to go fast. Although I havent had a speeding ticket in over a year. Its that cops pull ya OVER JUST CUZ you look young. Ive had cops pull me over and say I pulled you over for no reason. Sometimes the try the I pulled you over because you were hugging the lane like a drunk driver. Yeah Im drunk at 9am. I dont want to give cops another reason to pull me over. If I speed I go 5 over big deal. I usually dont unless im in a group and I keep up. Also radar detectors jammers and scanners are cool. I'll probably get a cb to talk to truckers why because its intresting on long drives and if they warn you about cops good for me. Most truckers r funny and drunk and talk about hookers they pick. Especially when I drove through Texas

I have my ZR3 display underneath my steering column inbetween the column plastic and the plastic that you could kick with your knee/shin. This is just another example of how great this product works.

How do you guys ount and install these? Dou just plug them in the ciggarette lighter? Does any one have these slightly hidden or are the placed in a really cool way in your dash like ICE?

Ditto. I have both the V1 and the ZR3 hardwired in so they turn on/off with the ignition and don't have those pesky wires crudding-up the dash.

lol im just messing around but seriosly i wouldnt buy a Bimmer if i intended to drive the speed limit all the time
