| Hello all, I am a new BMW owner and wants an aftermarket alarm installed (2000 BMW 323CI). Currently, I do not even have the factory alarm installed. I was told by the alarm shop manager that there would be a big risk if I have the hazard light blink when it is arm/disarm. He said that in the near future (8-9 month) the signal module will burn and would cost about 800 to fix. I don't know anything about alarms and if enabling this feature would harm the module. Could someone please help? Any tips would be appriciated! Thanks |

| first of all, i dont know where that dude got the idea of a signal module burning out, i've had a viper system in my car for over 2 years and i've had no problems, and my hazzards blink everytime i arm the alarm or set it off.. and second of all .... http://www.clifford.com/matrix/default.asp its got to be, if not the, one of the best alarm systems out there.. i found one on ebay for $300.. if not the matrix then the g5, the g5 doesnt have a transciever tho.. send me a e-mail and ill send you the link to the matrix RSX 3.5 on ebay
