yok es100 and michelle pilot sport

alright this is gonna be absurddddddd but hear me out...

ihave a set of MIchlle pilot sport on the m3, i got over 20k on them, and tehy are beyond the bar now... cool, 20k on a high performance tire, i guess i didnt go hard enuf =)

now i got a set fo yok es100, but they are near the bar only after like 9k.. what is UP???? i thought i only had to replcae the pilots but nope,, all 4 gotta go soon

does the pilot wear that long and the es100 wera that fast or is there something else i am missin??? and pilot goin 20k thats a lot too... anyhow wondering if i should go w/ the es100 anymore.. thankssssss

Did the ES100 wore out evenly? If yes then the E100 wears out faster than the Pilots. You get what you pay for. I'd try a set of S03.

Interesting, Pilot Sports don't have the greatest tread life either.

r6e36 - Thats not true. Most of the cheaper tires last longer than the more expensive high performance tires. S03s have a short treadlife.

yep.. exactly... cheap tiers have crap compounds that are hard, go pick up a pair of tires for 50 bucks n see how long they last... s03, well u get the picture....

my yok wearing very very evenly... kinda strange... anyhow, how many miles u guys get on ur tires? thanks

I disagree, my Falken ZE-512's have gone 10k and not the slightest sign of treadwear. And they have better grip than ANY high performance tyre I've come across. Cheap tyres can have good grip and treadwear, but it might be on the expense of something else. With these tyres the sidewalls are to soft.

I've got pilot sports, and have put 16k miles on them, and they are still in pretty good shape.

ES100 blow in every regard. Especially noise and wear. I never would've thought noise on a high performance tire would bother me, but there's something about wondering if your wheel bearings are going bad that gets to you.

not disagreeing with you, but i really dont think thatas a good tire on a M3 and most of that stuff is V rated meaning? =)
