Just came across some pictures the GT4 developers had taken while filming and modeling cars in the game. I though you'd like to see a few choice onse of car's that'll be in the game:

Yeah, I saw those pics sometime back (was some GT3/4 site) I am confused about the M3 though, I thought EA owned the rights to BMW M cars? We'll see...

Yeah, I saw the car list... I saw the bimmers and I was thinking to myself "damnit.. now I have to go get another PS2".... no e36 M3 tho

Do you know if car companies are paying the game developers of vise-versa when using cars and advertisements in a game like GT4?

I am sure they are paying some amount of cash to be able to advertise in the game... the game sells millions and the ads in the game are seen repeatedly.. its invaluble advertising.

actually, i dont think either pay, i think its just a trade off car companies get the advertisment while sony gets the right to use their cars in the game. Also it is because of these contracts that gt series does not have damage. Diffrent companies dont want people going around smashing their cars up, even if in a game.. seems kinda wierd to me but hell its the way it is.

Damage option would be cool (even it were to make up versions of cars). It's silly for car companies to want this and only portraits them as anal asses.

Its good to see some more cool european cars in the game. The previous ones were rather lacking in this department, with some exceptions of course.....

GT3 had 1 BMW and like 30 types of the VW beetle. Very dissapointing.

and if they use a 3er CSL, thats not an M car

yeah.. In GT3 the bimmers were so non existant that I forgot they (it) was even the game. Nothing against a 325, but seriously.. what could you do with just a 325...
