| The OBDI 3.0 of the 95 reacts better to engine modifications. Or you can go with the 96+ and eventually convert it to OBDI. Either way you go you're still going to end up with a powerful car, even when stock.

| you can probably search the archives here, i know its been talked about before. I just bought a 95, my second one. I had the choice of going to 96-99 but it was only if i couldn't find a clean 95 w/low mileage, i liked the ODB1 Ms. Like the guy said before, either way you'll be in a great car. If price is a factor, go with a 95 with higher mileage they are well priced. |

| Do a search because you will never get the replies here that were given up before. No one wants to reply to this question anymore. Not trying to be a cawk, just trying to save you time and find alot more posts. I use the search function like 3 or 4 times a day. |

| OBD is the type of emmissions the car has, obdII is more restrictive and therefore doesnt respond to modification as well. the conversion isn't really worth it unless you plan to do serious mods, that and it's illegal to convert an OBDII car to OBDI so you'll have to do it yourself or spend some time finding a mechanic that will do it. As for angel eyes stock ones aren't really that bright so most people opt for aftermarket. check out umnizta.com

Don't save 2K by buying an automatic version of what you want. If you find an auto. that you can't pass up, then fine. Just don't go thinking that you will be swapping in a 5-speed for less than 1.5K IF YOU PERFORM YOUR OWN LABOR. 2-2.5K if you pay someone. Still, the vin.# won't match, so why skimp out? Get a '95 M3, cause they are mod'able (what you seemed geared towards). You shouldn't find too many M3's that are automatic anyways, so don't worry about swapping trannys.
