| You gotta give it to Porsche. That is a hell of a package right there. SMG? SMG is a joke compaired to this sequential gearbox. No lift shifts on a sequential gearbox is special. Not many other GT cars have that ability.

| The gearbox in that car is a race box, it is by no means streetable! The PTG M3's use similar units. "Straight-toothed dog-type constant mesh countershaft sequential gearbox" - this is not something you'll find at a dealership haha1 |

| of course, but porsche has a wonderful tendancy to test stuff in track cars first, then bring it to the street. they need a real seq. box for the street. screw that 'tiptronic' torque converter crap...

| Does it come with the Decals... they are good for 50hp ![]() But seriously this thing is amazing, but it won't be much compared to the 575 Ferrari is releasing for this coming season. The new 360GT/N-GT should be pretty slick too. At one of the Limerock events this summer, someone brought a GT3RS, it was simply amazing, too bad he could not keep up with someof the other cars ![]() I wonder if anyone is going to tune it without the restrictors for competition in other series? I think it can for sure suprass thr 500 mark. Strange how the peak power is so high up in the power band, its normally a bit lower, I guess they used real high lift/duration cams to benefit most from the restrictors. That could be engine configuration to brakes, etc. Options for 911 GT3RS are as follows (for example): " Examples of personalisation: - Bi-Xenon lighting system with dynamic range control - Windscreen with green top tint - Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) - White paint finish on roll cage - White paint finish on centre console - Front section of centre console - Floor mats - Porsche CDR-23 CD radio (no-cost option) - Factory collection 911 " Last edited by LITEWAITM3 : 10-07-2003 at 05:15 PM. |

| This is actually the GT3-RSR race car.. i mistitled the thread, the GT3-RS is the street Club Racer version of the GT3. So, this is NOT street legal guys! The options would be different engine parts probably for FIA racing, brakes possibly, wheels widths maybe, etc. No radios haha. And FYI, that gearbox is something they've been using, as has PTG for years! Not a street box! |
