| I think the V1 is typically around $400. The ONLY other option is the Escort Passport 8500, and it's usually about $300- Pretty much the same performance, but the V1 has arrows. I have the Escort and love it.

| i too love my passport 8500. If you are set on a v1 they can be had for $359..you just need to call valentine and ask for a used version. THe used versions are the one that people return after their 30 day-trial period. Either people dont like them of like the escort better. Its a good way to get the same performance at a better price. -Richard

| Arman, How do you deal with the v1 in virginia( im hoping nova is northern va.)? I just purchased an sr7, zr3 combo so i can conceal it and not worry about cops seeing it. Do you just put it away when you see cops or get pulled over? -Richard

| I own a Valentine One and the great thing about it is not the arrows so much as the Bogey Counter. This tells you how many radars there are within the vicinity. This is priceless information. I don't think the Passport 8500 has a radar counter much less any other radar detector. This feature alone is worth the extra cost. Although, knowing where the radar is coming from also helps you as well. If it is coming from the side, most likely it's not a cop (and even if it is it doesn't matter since radar isn't accurate from the side). Also, seeing the arrows change from Ahead to Side to Rear also helps you confirm that you are indeed passing the radar which shows accuracy. Ever since I've had my V1, it has paid for itself at least twice by keeping me out of tickets.
