Who does the work on all these cars? I hear about all these turbo freaks in Poland and Sweden and shizzle but never any company that builds them. Are there really that many people who are very mechanically inclined? Because to build something like that... man

On these two cars the owners has built the most of the cars themselves.

There are many turbo-bimmers in north Europe, but the most extreme ones are in Sweden. And people build it themselves.

In Scandinavia we see USA as a "car country", so it is a littlebit strange when you write things like " Are there really that many people who are very mechanically inclined? ". Isn`t it in the USA where you will find the most extreme cars in the world?? I thought that there was many 8-1000 hp bimmers over there......

The US is a car country, but if someone wants to get a fast "straight line" car, they almost exclusively go for American or Japanese makes. It is much cheaper/easier to make large horsepower in those makes.

And he drives it to performance shows an more!!

Most of the fastest 1/4 mile streetlegal cars in Sweden are bimmers, and they got plenty of japanese cars in that country. And the fastest 4 cyl streetlegal car i know of is an BMW 2002 from Finland ( 8, 46 sec). That got to be the fastest streetlegal 4 cyl in Europe.

Check out this norwegian e36 316i compact with a 5,6 liter v12. The idiot who took the pictures didnt take pictures of the motor, but anyway.

Yes we swedes build everything for ourselfs because there is no company or so that puts turbos in Bemmers. there is only ESS in Norway but those people works with compressors/turbochargers and it is more easy with just turbo
