Check www.HMSMotorsport.com

They have clip in harness kits that are street legal, and easy to install, take apart.

The rally 4 harnesses are bolt in to the seat tracks and rear seatbelt bolts under the rear seat. Legality? They are fine for autocross and street:

A quote

Schroth Street Legal Harness Belt Questions
1. Are the Schroth Rallye 3 and 4 really street legal?
Yes, these belts are DOT approved, so you can wear them around town or at the track. These street legal belts are also used by many BMWCCA Driving School Students and Instructors. As "street legal" as these belts are, we only use them for autocrossing. We feel that the factory seat belts are best used when driving on the street. Save the Schroths for race days.

2. I notice the Schroth Rallye 3 and 4 come in a left and right side version. Does it matter which one I get?
Yes, with the Rallye 3 and 4, the left and right seat harnessbelts are not interchangeable. Installation on wrong side can result in severe head injury during rebound phase of frontal collision.

In the driving school community there has been a rift growing about 4 points, one CCA chapter in particular will not let you use them. The will only allow 5 points or stock belts.

I never used this supplier, HMS sells them and I bought mine there.

Legal is one thing, safe is another....harnesses of any kind without rollover protection is much less safe than stock seat belts.

I don't really understand how 1 belt (stock) is safer than 2 belts (4-pt.harness)??

Absolutly true, my Autopower 8pt cage is bought, just have to pick up in NJ.

You can lean over to the inside of the car( instinct ) in 3 point stock belts during a roll over, harnesses will hold you steady while the roof compresses your spine.

You can't lap or look cool in one of these

They mean how a stock seatbelt is designed to allow the driver to lean in towards the middle of the car incase of a rollover. With 4 PT belts you roll over and you are stuck sitting straight up. Squashed or a really bad headache
