80,000 mile m3?

Well the time has come to get rid of my POS car and start lookin for some ///M's next month or maybe this month. Basically my price goes to 17K which isn't very good to get a fair quality e36 M3. I basically want to know how well the s52's hold up. I've searched alot, but I would like to get some info from people who had or have a high milelage m3's. I know the quality of BMW, my buddy has an e30 which is at 130k and still runs strong. Thanks in advance

P.S.- I'm selling my Dodge Ram and probe gt(POS), don't need a car/truck combo cause I could use my parent's truck anytime I wanted it to move stuff around and I hate my car so I decided to look for some cars...

Bought mine with 90,000 mile - 1997 - runs great,,, just not fast enough. Might be missing a turbo or a SC, - I'll have to contact the dealership and see if they have it.

Honestly - my M3 had one problem thus far - and that was the power steering. Otherwise they are bullet proof. But remember,,, just cuse you get an M3 for 17$k,, doesn't mean your repair bills will cost any less than an M3 with 10 miles on it.

BTW - my M3 was very well taken care of and I got it for 16k$ in Chi-town at an Infinity dealer.

my car has 93k and runs beautifully. It held its own against an m3 individual. And its under 17k, so youjust have to look around

The individuals usually were given the pick of the litter for the engine. It managed to dyno a lot higher. It wasnt until high up in the revs that he was passing me.
