well, the M3 is sold...

Finally sold the bimmer I loved it, but it had 150k miles on the body ( 25k on the motor) and I got $20k for it, pretty good for a '95 m3 with 150k on the body.

I've been debating for a while with what to replace the ///M with. I considered a Supra (overpriced for what they are IMO, damn F&F movies), c5 vette (prices will drop alot once the c6 comes out), s4 (overpriced IMO, and the looks are too sedated) or a F/I e36 M3 (couldn't find one in my price range with low mileage).

I've finally decided on a beautiful red '99 Lightning with only 30k miles on it (18k on the motor that was replaced under warranty). My last two vehicles before my M3 were trucks and I kind of miss the practicality. I can throw my wetsuits and surf gear in the back without having to get my interior sandy, I can tow the jet-skis, I can relax more in rush-hour L.A. traffic because I won't have a manual (all lightnings are autos), plus I will be able to smoke most things on the road

There are a few mods on it: a blower pulley that adds 2 or 3lbs of boost, a 90mm mass air meter, an exhaust, and billet grills. The guy said he took it to the track once and ran a 13.3 on street tires Hope I don't get flamed for buyin a Ford

Wow I can't believe your ///M is gone I loved your car it was so clean and the mods were so tastefull well good luck with the Lighting those are so sick ass trucks I really like them and would buy one if I could get it in stick.

selling the M is one of the worst things that happens.. eventually you do get over it though...

of course im looking ahead though and in some years the e46 m3 will be coming

Good luck with it. Aside from the E36, its one of my favorite VEHICLES to drive. I have one and I absolutely love it! Word of advice: be careful because they chew up tires quickly. The only tires available are the Goodyears and they are expensive!
