| Laguna Seca World Challenge Sept 5-7 2003 ![]() Global Motorsports Group would like to invite all DTM Power members and friends to come by and visit us at the GMG/Tecmark transporter located in the main paddock area of Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway . | look at there web site and look at the E36 M3, its says they will be running a 5spd, why would they do that? or is is its a typo. What are you referring too? Perhaps I can clarify.. Please let me know.. |

| The reason we dont run 6 speeds is there is no need too. The cars are geared very short and most of the tracks we run, we dont see speeds in excess of 155 mph. What we do need is exit speeds and cornering speeds to be competitve over the other cars that have more horsepower. And lastly , the 6 speed gearbox is weaker then the 5 spd internally and prone to failure more often. So its a combination of both. Fabryce |
