| Troulbe with 19's..need help I have a 99 e36 323is and i bought a set of four ADR 19" by 8 rims for it. I was always told 19's would be able to fit and not be too much of a problem, but when I went to put them on, they tried 245's for the tires and found out they were touching the strut bar in the front. today they tried 235's and they had the same problem. tomorow their going to try 225's but theres a couple of problems with that. One, its going to be a pain driving on tires that thin, i dont want to have to crawl over every flaw in the road. second, will they even fit? |

| have you tried getting a smaller wall instead? Like 245/35/19?

| What is the offset of your wheels? So the tires are rubbing on the inside(strut hat?), if so you can run spacers to bring them out a little, 235/35/19's are the best tire size. I'm running 19x8.5's with a 43mm offset and 235/35/19's with no rubbing. Make sure the Adr's are the right offset for an e-36 too. 245's are too wide also for 19's on your car...

| i finally got them on with 225/45's. its running smooth and looks sick as hell, but im so nervous. Im coming to complete stops at every railroad track. how easy is it to damage the tires/rims? do i have to be that careful?... |

| shit, i am planning on getting 19s in the spring. Right now my 18s rub in the rear when i hit big dips at speed or take HARD turns with a lot of weight in the car. I already have 235/35/19 tires so hopefully they will clear in the wheel well. I dont know how though because currently i have 225/40/18. I might need to raise the rear a little to fit 19s. also i have rub marks on both the rear shocks and the outer fender liner, so basically getting a new offset will just make it worse on one side or the other. Going from a 35mm to 43mm will move the rubbing to which side, the shock or the outer fender?
