Unhappy Squeeky brakes
my squeaking brakes suck! I have brand new Zimmerman x drilled rotors front and rear, and the brake pads are 1 year old with 12k on them. They are not worn down much at all.

I had the pads on with the stock rotors and it squeaked a little bit in the rear brakes. then when I changed the rotors the squeaking is now worse. I didnt put any kind of anti squeak lubricant or any grease on the parts. Is there something I can do to get rid of this embarassing squeaking?

Quick remedy, stop short from 40mph. Should lessen the sqeak for a day or two.

there is a anti-squeel grease stuff but its only a very temporary fix.

I tried the short stop from 50 mph and it lasted about 5 minutes before it started again. What is the grease called?

I've had good luck with this stuff


Also you should rebed the brakes.
