East Coast blackout: were you affected?

*sigh* it was scary.. to put it mildly. Pitch black streets, heat, more heat, spoiled goods, people trapped in elevators/subways/etc.

Things are getting back to normal, but it was an experience that shows us what we take for granted, and how dependant on electricity we are. Hopefully all is well with everyone affected by it. I was lucky enough to be in the comfort of my own home, but I empathize will all those that weren't as fortunate. God bless.

ya that wasnt fun. i sat outside my work and watched the busiest intersection in clifton park. saw 3 bad accidents in 1 hour, and countless close calls.

not a cop in sight to direct traffic.

Hey Jesse...it was total mess i saw 2 really bad accidents while i driving home back from work at 11:30pm. I had to work 16 straight hours that day

I was at Cedar Point in Ohio and I watched the millennium force get to the top of the lift and come to a dead stop, as did many of the other rides at the park.

I was driving at the time, and noticed all the traffic lights went out. I turned on the AM radio and heard the news.
