96-99 grills swap for 95??!

Hey. just bought a '97 328is (no pics yet sorry) and it was in a little fender bender, where the owner replaced the front bumper and nose piece. But the stupe put a 95 nose piece on it along with M front kit. Anyway, question being, can i just swap the grills for the new style ones (the ones the car SHOULD have) or do i have to completely replace the nose piece?

Pretty sure you have to swap the entire nose piece.

you can take the kidney grill out by it self! take off the radiator cover and unclick the clips!

i know u can pop the grills out. just dunno if i were to put in the 96-99 grill on a 95 nose piece, if it will fit.

i cant believe stupid people, putting a damn 95 nosepiece/grill on it.

if u dun wanna do that, u can get some e46 style grills from ebay or something.

95 grills are different than the 96+ grills.

You need to purchase/install the 97-99 nosepiece in order to put in the 97-99 grills. And if you didn't already notice, they started putting on the thicker grills in 97, not 96.

so your saying e46 style grills fit on a 95 nose piece(???), and the 97-99 grills do not (i would have to completely replace the nose piece). Is this all correct?

he's saying you can buy e46 look grills from ebay that look a lot like the 97+ grills and are much cheaper than buying the whole nose panel. You can buy the nose panel and grills as a kit from www.bavauto.com.

if you go to bavarian autosports website they have a kit that you can buy for like $160 or so that comes with the nose piece and the new grills. bavauto.com
