ya, on a GT type course, the m3 would win, but i dunno, if both cars are stock, and race, it would be close, i'd go with the M3.

M3 should win. I raced a '97 Cobra twice and just slightly edged him out, and a Cobra is quite a bit faster than a GT.

Yea, the 6th Gen(98-02) Accords have the F23 motors (both VTEC and non-VTEC variety). The non-VTEC is kinda torquey for a Honda and after a while, you can convince yourself that it's quick.

As for the original question, it would be a close race, even though the cars are so different. My money is on the 5.0 Mustang in a straight line with dry conditions. The ///M in any other condition.
