| m3 no question, this guy is going to have to drive the car everyday. yes you can make a civic hatch faster than an m3 but its not something you want to be driving 75% of the time. I have ridden in many ricers with their suspensions bottoming out going over pennys and exhaust blaring because they took out all the insulation for weight savings, its an absolutely miserable experience aside from when they hit the gas and the car flys. The bottom line is exactly what one guy was saying, yes you can have a neon or civic that will run with an m3 but you can run in comfort and style with the m3.

| Very true. The H22 powered hatch wouldn't have A/C or power steering. I was saying from a purely drag-racing standpoint, I would rather drop $15k on a Hatch then $15k on an ///M. -Ducky

| I think all im saying is that this is like comparing apples to oranges. Why would you get a civic when you can get an m3. Like i stated on that form, if you really have your heart set on a hatch back, why not get a 318ti and make it fast; ive seen, heard about, some sick ass 318ti's. From purely drag-racing standpoint, you are right, you really wouldn't care what your car looked like or what class it was in. But, they are talking about daily drivers, handleing, etc.....I vote hands down M3 over a civic hatch...imo, civic hatches are just plain ugly and dont even compare to the style and class of an M3; Its not all about how fast you go, its about build quality, style, etc. Last edited by MPower333 : 07-28-2003 at 09:53 PM. |

| to throw a curve ball in with the post about the e30 m3 being able to keep up with that neon and the e36 not being able to. but what if the m3 was a lightweight or would that have an effect on it. i would take the m3 over the hatchback and send it to aa and get it worked on. |
