2001 Acura MDX vs BMW X5 2001

Whats a better SUV ?

Please post comments not just pick bmw cause its a bmw forum lol =/ also anyone know the average prices for the 2001 bmw ? I think its high 20k or 30k but i cant find any set prices and dont want to go to the dealership yet .... whats a good small digital camera thats easy to use ?

My family has a 2002 Acura MDX and it is great. It's very luxuroius on the outside and we also got the option for the nav system. I would go for the acura if you want more than a 5 seater, and if the BMW is the six cylinder, i would not go for it. The BMW v8 verisions are very nice and fast.

i worked for acura and the mdx is a rice suv nice interor though with 240 hp as the only engine choice and the x5 have all range of engine sizes so i would pick the x5 any day

I like the both... The X5 has a better engine package, but I think the MDX has a sleeker design. Im undeceided.

Man, you should check the build quality of the X5 and the design of the interior is very nice (in my opinion). If you cannot afford the 4.6is version, go for the 4.4i....

Btw, X5 E53 will have a facelift SOON. It will have 4.8is version (>400hp), the same engine which will be in the facelifted E65/E66/E67/E68 seven-series. But the new X5 4.8is will be fckin expensive too.

X5 - we're on our second one at home. Our first one was an early 2001 model, we were among the first to get one here in Big D. Big quality is excellent, handles great, engine feels a lot more powerful than the numbers suggest. My parents looked at the MDX but they just weren't impressed, my dad didn't like the fact that the leather and wood were fake and the 7 seat option seemed useful only for midgets. From what I've read on reviews though, it seems like a pretty decent option too.

I would consider the Touareg too.

i like the facelift , i just wish bmw would stop making those goddamn UGLY mirrors. Why dont they design nice ones like the current m3's and the old (e36) ones for new cars. Every bmw i see is so sleek but when i see the mirrors i wanna puke god damn it.

But i say x5 cause i have driven in one and its just so... NICE

i would have bought x5 in a heartbeat. interior quality and materials are better , but we needed the third row of seats and the extra storage space of the mdx. practicality won out for the wife. so i just bought a porsche.

X5, but if i had to buy an suv, i would buy the toureg no doubt about it. the acura one is like the lexus, ugly and NOT made for SUV purposes. the cayyenne is a dumb idea, a fast suv? what idiot thought of that ?
